Sent Max in to babysit Kira at 6:45am.  He kept leaving to report anything she would say,  "Mommy! Kira said birthday!" (The 30 second breaks between updates were still nice)

The night before Kira was two

Two years ago tonight Max was lying (WIDE AWAKE) in this very spot and no one had any idea that his little sister would be born the next day.  Here is Kira, two years later, taking happily after her big brother.  She looks just like her daddy, but her teacher said she was "feeling chatty" today, so she has some of her mom, too.

"Come on, Kira!" Max pleaded for her to go faster.  

"FASTER," Kira said as she went super slow.

"Circle of lifffffffffffe" (wonder where she gets that)

Kira could spend minutes (the baby/toddler equivalent of hours!) wiping and diapering her babies.  "Yucky poopy!" she said as she moves from one to the next.  

The night before Kira was one and two.  Two years later she has a lot more teeth and stuffed animals!

Superheroes!

Max and Kira sported their gear with pride for Superhero Day at school.

Max found a dime and knew it was a dime!

6:39pm: no daylight left to accommodate the energy she has left 

"WAGONNNNNNNNN!" Kira screamed when she saw her chariot.  She loves wagon rides and whole apples with the stems removed, just like Max.

Taco Tuesday: "mushy chipotle tacos" filled with pasta using "dinner scissors".  Kira can talk, but Max said all of that.

PJ Day

Kira went to her new classroom for a few hours this morning.  "MANGOS!!"

She is learning so much in school; her teacher said she communicates in complete sentences and talks about things in context.  Red is her favorite color to identify, but she seems to know most of the others as well.  She also knows so many animals, even peacocks!

Cars were banded from the freshly paved parking lot and Kira got to scoot with the big kids.  After all, she is turning TWO pretty soon, as she will happily tell anyone who asks how old she is.

Etch-a-sketching until Max shook it and slammed it into his eye.  Poor guy also fell off his scooter so his face has scratches, too.
