Cheerio!

The only thing better than a bag of "stickey" (multigrain!) Cherrios is...

TWO BAGS!

For the love of Minnie

It was hard to wake this sleeping babe but she woke up happy as ever.

No surprise that Max added a cup holder to his backpack, which on display in the lobby at school.

The hungriest caterpillar!

Slow ride to no where.  Their combined weight of 1 million pounds was too large of a load to bike.  They were cool with being toted around the block once, as long as the block ended at the playground.

Ouch!

Max gave a ring to Kira to make her feel better after she got bit at school!

OUCH!!! Poor Kira!  Hope this fast learner does not learn to bit back!

Drawing his house

Max woke up in the middle of the night to put his uniform on again

Dream team

We had so much fun playing outside at Oakton today!

Max did not sleep in his soccer uniform but he put it on as soon as he woke up

Practice!

The 100 degree streak is over!

No trip to Oakton would be complete without basketball!  Kira wanted to be officially part of team by wearing an adult large jersey that will fit her approximately never.

Kira drags the stool from the bathroom into the kitchen any time someone is cooking.  "Come!" she says as she  summons mommy back to her side.

Sports

Max went to daddy's basketball game this morning, played soccer this afternoon, and watched the Gator game tonight.  Kira and mommy went on a Target run that doubled as a play date with Tessa.

Max woke up at 5:30 with his shin guards on.  When Kira woke up 15 minutes later we gave up and came downstairs.

7 hours until game time

She's got the shopping gene

Max did so well at soccer today!  It was SO hot.  His cheeks turned bright red before he even got the uniform on, but he got right on the field and kicked the ball around with a new friend before practice.

"I can't believe I played in a real soccer game!  I love this!!"

Tired much?

Gator chomp on our Gator gear

TOUCHDOWNS!  Max and Jake thought the Gator fans were too loud.  Ha

The days are long, but the nights are short.

One week down

Everyone survived the first official week back at school.  The kids did great everyday, emphasis on day.  Mornings and nights are relatively torture (scream, cry, "NOOOO!") filled.  Hopefully that behavior is confined to school days and not weekends.

Morning reading

Someone saw a pack of fruit snacks peeking out of daddy's gym bag on the way out the door this morning.

This is Max's self portrait.  He told the class that it only has one eye because he was feeling silly.  That explains the silly face within a face that has his tongue sticking out.  It also explains the silliest of all the silly outfits he wore today.  His pants were so very short, but he came up with the brilliant idea to wear high socks to cover his ankles.  The penny-less loafers and belt (no belt loops on his pants) were an extra special touch.

Getting ready for his first ever soccer practice and game tomorrow!

Tonight the crying went beyond the normal realm of crank-a-rude, so either Kira was just really tired or sick.  Probably both.

Lights out early.  Until they were on an hour later.
