He did it again!

Max got a hole in one- for the second time in his life!  What a pro! Kira was very proud.

Uncle got a hole in one, too, and Max was very excited for him.

Sandal scandal

Max has waited impatiently all winter long and now the time has finally come for shorts and sandals.  Clearly he all is set in the shorts department, since he was sporting them before the snow even melted, but be needed new sandals.  We went to REI, but they did not have his size in exact sandals he wanted.  Max had a hard/impossible time taking "no" for an answer, which is ironic since that is one of his favorite words.

Side note: As of late, his new manta is, "No!  I am NOT going to listen".

There was no choice but to listen this afternoon as Max carried on about the sandals, so after dinner (and more importantly, after rush hour), we headed to Nordstrom in search of the perfect pair of blue and green sandals.  Once again, Max was disappointed.  This time they did have the shoes he wanted in his size, but his shoe size has graduated from 'toddler' to 'little kid' so the Keens he wants have a toggle clip. It turns out that Max hates toggle clips almost as much as he hates Woody.  After his second major shoe meltdown of the day, the saintly, patient sales man finally found another sandal that Max approved of and that fit him.  But it really was just one sandal.  Max refused to take it off, mommy and grandma scoured the store, and finally the sales man found it in the wrong box.  Max's glass slipper/sandal was located and all was right in the world.

Max had some ice cream to soothe his sandal heartbreak.  Kira was eyeballing it like crazy so we gave her a little lick.  She was not interested.

First time in a restaurant high chair at the bagel store, but she is not quite ready for a bagel.

Max got picked up right after nap- these kids were so cute in their little cots.

We found this deserted double fire truck stroller in the mall so grandma gave Max and mommy a ride.  Max was generous enough to invite Grandma to sleep at his house tonight.

"Look they're friends!"  Donald for Max and Daisey for Kira

Max was not leaving without these sandals, and luckily he did not have to.

Yankee twins!  Max said he got mommy that shirt (but he did not).

Baby in the rough

Daily dose of morning madness

Max en route to school with his jersey tucked in and his basketball in his backpack, all set for game time.

Kira is the best girl.  She lets mommy shower AND do her hair!  A baby in the rough.

It is always nice to get pictures from Miss Miranda and hear about how outstanding Max behaves in school.  All day.  Everyday. No joke.

Playing after school and looking so mature.

Look mom...

What Max lacks in the sleep department, he makes up for in the proud big brother department.  Any time Kira rolls over he screams, giddy with pride, "Mommy!!! Look Kira is rolling over!  Good job, Kira!"  Kira is still working on sitting up, but today while she was propped up on a toy car (while mommy was holding her back), Max screamed, "Mommy!!! Look Kira can sit up! Wait, mommy, move your hand...look she can do it!"

"Look mommy..." Max screams from his 'diving board'

Boogers

Everyone is pretty stuffed up these days. Could be allergies or maybe colds, but it is not slowing down Max, who woke up at the ungodly hour of 4:00 A M.  Sure, he took a few three minute cat naps until 5:30am, but he was mostly his hyped-up self, with the lovely addition of snot.  Kira is suffering as well; between her own stuffed nose, and the inevitable ringing in her ears from her brother's pre-dawn outbursts, she is lacking sleep.  But we have plenty of tissues.

Max is more than capable of blowing his nose, but when he defiantly refuses, he gets threatened with the snot sucker.  He has never wanted to use it until this morning, when he saw mommy use it on Kira.

Buggers and blurry pictures for Kira today

Splits!

Can't a girl get a sick day from sit-up practice?

Car side after school greeting

The fresh air made everyone so happy!!!

Daddy's shirt is most definitely not referring to Kira

Used car deck

Max pushed Kira's car around while he drove his.  He was so excited when she finally grabbed the steering wheel, but he remains concerned that her feet do not touch the bottom of the car.

First, Max tried to push Kira's car and drive his own at the same time, but that was a bit tough.

Max was beyond excited to spot this caterpillar!

"Mommy are these MY cough drops?!?"  They are his new obsession

Today was Kira's hottest day on Earth!  It was nearly 90 degrees out, but she was cool in the shade and her lemon romper.

Kira loves to smile back at absolutely anyone!

It's a little hot for this outfit, mom

Post-bath laughs-
"Look, mommy! We are in a show!"

Sunday fun

Sunday morning Mickey flapjacks with the boy who slept from 10:15pm to 4:45am.  Funny boy pretended to go to sleep this evening at 5:30pm, only to emerge thirty minutes later claiming to be done sleeping for the night.

Sunday morning baseball

Max pitched and mommy hit a home run all the way to the playground stairs- which was mostly exciting because we were able to find the ball.

Mini golf

After 18 holes Max was just too exhausted to take a picture

"I'm holding Kira!"
Everyone likes to eat on mommy's lap

Look who is back- the ice cream man!

Sponge Bob!
After Max blinded Bob by eating his eyeballs, he was all done.

Hey mom, I have an idea...

...take a few thousand pictures of me!
