Max loves making pizza! Kira loves anything Max loves, so she watched the show while downing her veggie pouch.

Max proudly showed Grandma and Pa his name via FaceTime

Then he moved on to practicing the letter B so that he could write his last name. He also wrote (and can sometimes spell!) "daddy". All of the sudden it seems that Max can write all of the letters that are entirely made up of straight lines and he is working hard on the more challenging letters like 'G'. Lucky for Max, his name is very simple to write; he loves to write it. Unlucky for mommy, he only writes with SHARPIES.

Get a whiff of this guy. He used daddy's cologne and is super excited about it. Speaking of daddy, on the way home from school Max announced that when daddy and uncle were babies they were brothers but now, "I'm brothers with uncle!" Max loves uncle a lot!

New year, new do

As soon as Max got picked up from school he asked to get his haircut. "My hair is sticking down. I need it to be more spikey!" he explained.

Max was only allowed to get a haircut if he would sit in the chair by himself. Not only did he sit like a "big boy" but he acted like one all evening!

Kira will not have to worry about a hair cut for a while (years!).

Just a few fishies

Max's post-bath strawberry snack tasted yucky (as pictured) because he had just brushed his teeth. "Ahhhhhh...take the paste out of my mouth!!!"

Pajama day

Max is obsessed with pajamas and begs to wear his pjs to school at least once (usually 5 days) a week. Today he had an at home, all day pj party with Kira!

Kira was completely better today as evidenced by the return of her one hour power nap (and normal body temperature for the first time in days). By bedtime she was exhausted and fell asleep drinking her bottle with the lights on.

Of course Max woke her up to say goodnight after his bath.

Goodbye tree, hello new year

Max continues to beg for the Christmas tree to remain in tact because, "it's so so beautiful!" but despite his pleas it came down today. He was handsomely rewarded for his emotional distress with some sports ball erasers. The good news is that even though Christmas [and Hanukkah and Max's birthday] are over, the holiday loot can stay out all year long!

It is all fun and games until...

...it's not [for Kira].

Poor Kira is still sick, but still blowing kisses with her little red chapped lips.

By 6am Max resolved to wake up earlier, eat unhealthier, and never leave the house without a tattoo on his face.

No interest in the hot cocoa, but quite excited about the cup.

Max loves taking pictures on his new tablet (wonder where he gets that from...) so we played a "game"- go around the house and take pictures of your favorite things. The only thing he wanted to take a picture of was the tree!
