Max actually asked to leave the aquarium so that he could go to the airport and put on his pajamas. He and Kira proceed to run around the airport like maniacs while lots of strangers commented that, "they will sleep well on the plane." NOPE!
These two lived it up in the front row of first class. It turns out that having a 1.5 year old on your lap is allowed but awful [for anyone and everyone within several rows of said child]. It was worth the extra money so these two hooligans would have some space and not disturb everyone on board.
Max was so happy that he was allowed to drink "beer" on the plane. He only went to the bathroom a half dozen times.
Winter was asleep when we got to the aquarium, but we did not know because her eyes were open. Dolphins sleep with their eyes open just like Max! Winter was not wearing her prosthetic tale because she only wears it during physical therapy. Max and Kira got to hold a prosthetic tale\, which they thought was cool, but they immediately selected a tale-less stuffed Winter in the gift shop.
Sawyer (the boy who found Winter on the beach) was not at the aquarium on this day, but every time Max saw someone in a wet suit he screamed, "Oh my GOSH! That's Sawyer!"
This is one of the pelicans that played Rufus in the movie! Max was very concerned that Rufus would "get our stuff" like he did in the movie.
Everything about our trip to Florida was terrific, with one exception: several long, tear-scream filled car rides.
