Everyone's bags are packed and they are ready to go to grandma and pa's house.
Max is very excited to go to the beach and asked dozens of questions about the ocean and sharks.
"Do sharks have teeth like the big bad wolf?"
"Do mans go in the ocean?"
"Do they talk?"
"Kids have to hold their daddy's hands and the kids will get eaten by the sharks."
He has a pretty solid interest in sharks for someone who did not even watch Shark Week. But does occasionally watch Shark Tank...
He loved going over the bridges and said we were going over "tracks" and that we should all pretend to be trains. He was Tommy.
Kira was wide awake the whole trip. This was especially surprising since today was the first day of her life that she skipped her afternoon nap. She did require a stready stream of entertainment and snacks, which was no problemo since there was at least a foot between the kids' car seats. Maybe a foot and a half.
...and change into fleece pajamas when it is 101 degrees outside? This tear-ridden emergency car evacuation was Max's first time ever at McDonalds. He was so beside himself with the pain of having sat in the car for 1.5 hours, that he did not even want any food. "I just want my pjs on!!!" he exclaimed through his tantrum.
A few hours later Max remembered he was actually hungry, asked for his nuggets, and taunted Kira by waving them in her face.
