LEGOLAND!

Equal parts fun and sweat!

Aunt Arielle and Nolan took us to Legoland!  It was a steamy day but we had an amazing and memorable time.

General Border!

Kira was such a sticky sport waiting for Max to go on all the rides!  There were a few tot rides for her but she was quite entertained just watching Max and exploring.

Nolan helped max win this blue dragon which he and Kira love very much.  Max named him "sweet puppy", but by the end of the day the eyes melted all over Max's shirt and Kira's arms and legs.  The Lego folks were super nice and felt terrible.  They tried to replace Max's dragon with an enormous one but Max only wanted his "sweet puppy" back because it was squishy.

Max rejected the supersize dragon so he left with his defective melty-eye dragon and a complementary puppy.  Legoland also gave Kira a kitty; it was love at first sight. (Notice the eye prints on Kira's thigh!). We will be leaving Florida with quite the stuffed-friend entourage.

The Lego creations were awesome- they had everything from full size cars to world maps made out of Legos.

Ride on the Lego Nile

Kira loved the hieroglyphics

The best part of Legoland was the water park!  It was exactly what we needed after a few hours of riding in the sun.  Kira RAN directly into the water.

So did Max!

Both of these kiddos were as excited about the little sinks as they were some of the rides!!

Full fledged big boy water slide!

Lego island

After the water park we hit up some more rides. These Lego firemen were just the perfect size for Kira and Max felt like a giant.

This car ride was so cool because the cars were not on a track, the kids could drive all over.  Max had a tough time keeping his foot on the gas, but he earned his 'drivers license' at the end anyway.

Taking flight

It was all fun and games boarding the plane until we sat on the runway for nearly two hours before our two hour flight.

Kira (and mommy) were so happy and greatful that there was an extra seat for this lap-child.  Max was equally happy and great fully for the airplane apple juice being in a can.

We picked up another kiddo on the way who wanted to babysit.   After four hours on the plane, one pee-in-a-cup emergency, and two number twos, we were so happy to see Aunt Arielle and Nolan at baggage claim!

Clearwater beach was amazing!  The sand was like baby powder and the water felt terrfic.  Max and Kira had a blast!!

This one did not want anyone holding her hand

School's out for summer!

(Sort of)

Max went through several versions of this sign before getting the smiley face in the letter 'A' justttttt right.  He went back to add ears after the photo shoot. Today was Max's last day in the 'Clementines' room at school.  Next week, he will start in the 'Apples' for summer camp.

When Max saw this side-by-side comparison he immediately said, "HEY! Where's that striped shirt! I want it!"  Of course he does.  Today was 90 degrees; the perfect long-sleep thermal shirt weather, just like the first day of school.

Kira is going to have a few more days of school next week when we return from our trip, but after that she is officially on summer break!

Max wore eye black today.  Kira thinks it is just hilarious.

Baseball twins

Rainy night pajama party!
Kira's pajamas are Max's (NINE MONGHS OLD) hand me downs and the two of them could not be more excited to be twins.

Monday demands

Max came barreling in the door after school talking non-stop about his friend, Logan, having his TOE AND FINGER nails painted.  A few minutes later Max and Kira had their first mani-pedi.

It turns out Timmy has his toes paint, too.  High maintenance boys over here.

Max and Timmy deserted their pile of toys just in time for Kira to do some exploring.

Dad's Day!

We celebrated Father's Day and Pa's birthday today!

Kira loved the cake but only wanted it fed to her off the end of a birthday candle.

Kira eats pretzels at the pool non-stop

Even in the water

We (mommy under Max's direction) crafted some Lion King play masks that Max found online to replicate the performance he saw.  Look out Broadway, Max is coming!

Post "pushing part"

Kira's first time at the zoo

Max said the baby turtle in there is a baby NINJA TURTLE!

Kira loved all the big animals we saw on the wagon ride.  She really wanted to jump out and feed them some mints she got from Grandma.

Kira tried hard to feed the birds

"Dogie!"

Max was actually a bit nervous on the wagon ride.  He was super excited when he saw Lion King-esque animals from afar, but once we got up close he may have been nervous Scar would appear?

Look who slept until 7:30! Thank you 10pm bedtime!
