Play date!

Max and Logan talked about their afterschool play date all day at school.  Max was mostly excited about Logan coming home in our car.  They played until 8:30pm, well passed theirs (and mommy's) bedtime.

Kira loves playing with (aka: near) the boys

Baby loves to dance

Turn on some tunes and Kira is up and moving!

We had an epic dance party before bed tonight.  Once she heard, "Baby Love" she picked her freshly bathed and diapered bum up off the floor and took more steps, in the form of dance moves, then ever before.

Time to [not] eat

It's all fun and games...

...until it's time for the food to actually go in your mouth.  Kira is on a strict 1/2 a yogurt and one apple slice for dinner diet.

Kira and Gracie played while the big kids had t-ball practice.  They were happy when max got back to finally show them how to turn on a game. It was a freezing 40 something degrees during practice, so naturally Max wore shorts and short sleeves.

Max could hardly wait until Shreya's birthday party because it was at Monkey Joes and his whole class was going to be there.

So many tickets

For so many top notch prizes

Three perfectly posed four year olds

Kira likes walking like Max's like sleeping in

Mini-dad

She likes to bounce on the scooter, at least she tolerates the helmet

When you go to sleep at 9pm, wake up at 6am and refuse to nap, you pass out on the couch while your friend is over.

Coloring by 6:30am

Max's drawing obsession this week:
Robots.  He brought a robot drawing home from school that had been drawn on a paper towel.  Why a paper towel?  Because he could not reach the paper.  His cubby was also filled with basketball court drawings.

TGIF

Today we needed sunscreen, this weekend we [excluding Max] may need the winter clothes.

What does a sister have to do to give her brother a hug?

Boys love Frozen, too.  These two played with this Frozen castle for...ever.  Max refused to leave until he put Elsa to sleep and warned everyone not to touch her.

Biker boys

Sleepy boys
Everyone was all smiles this morning since this girl and her brother slept past 6am!

A waffle in one hand and a bag of syrup on the other.  Max explained these detailed waffle serving directions while he was half asleep this morning.  Luckily his mom got it right.

Made for Max

Kira was made to be Max's sister.  This daredevil may even learn to fly before she gets this walking thing down pat.

Max spent a lot of focused time constructing this "bird feeder" that his older friend started to make yesterday.  So far there has been no talk of actual food for the birds.

"Timmy!!!!!"

Bath time sing-a-long

Always the entertainer

Double case of the Mondays

Monday morning mood.  Hey kids, how about sleeping in a little bit instead of waking up tired?

Max just checked- it is walking time!  He was very excited to wear his watch to school, but unfortunately daddy had to pick it up in the office at the end of the day.  Max and an undisclosed peer were wrestling and they both got their watches taken away.  It figures that the very first day Max brings some sort of technology to school it gets taken away; in no time he will be texting his buddies and getting his phone confiscated.

Kira got a nose boo boo to match her brother's, but she took her injury in stride and went right back down the slide.

Kira wants to scale the playground before she can even walk

Her pants want her to walk, too.

There is daddy cheering Kira on

What Kira lacks in walking ability she makes up for with intellect.  She is so smart and interested in everything, everyone, and what everyone is doing.  She loves to show off that she knows her ears, mouth, nose, and [blinking] eyes.  She has also picked up some new words. Sometimes it is hard to tell if she is just parroting words that she hears or if she understands them, but today at the playground she definitely said, "doggy" when dogs walked by.  She also says, "ducky" when she plays with her rubber duck in the bath.  Her first and favorite word is "daddy"; she clearly has an affinity for words that start with 'D' and end with 'Y'.

Speaking of D words, the happiest bedtime baby ever loves cuddling with Daisy.
