Frozen

After years of sing-screaming "Let it Go", Max finally watched Frozen last night...and this morning.  He is clearly the perfect match for Elsa who sings,  "The cold never bothered me anyway!"

This hoop-ball combo is the perfect way to prop Kira up.  She sits in the middle of the basement holding the ball up to the big hoop, so it was time to bring back a hoop closer to her size.

Valentine's Day

Max and Kira started off Valentine's Day at their consistent cattle call of 5:30am and 6:00am, respectively.  Max was eager to get started on his writing practice and Kira on her chalk tasting.  

Max was in love with the idea of holding Kira's hand while she was in the upright, fake standing, position.  Kira was in love with Max.

This was the quietest one second of a very loud play date.  The good news is there were not really any tears (except from maybe a newly deaf mom or two)!

Max brought Kira the iPad and opened her favorite (only) game 

15 months (belated)

Kira had her belated 15 month check-up today.  The appointment included 4 shots, so of course we procrastinated as long as possible.  In true Kira form, she did not let the pain keep her down long; daddy quickly cheered her up and she was back to happy in no time.  Despite her yummy little belly, she is just 10th percentile for weight, but 75th for height; nice and tall just like her daddy and brother.  She is not quite walking on her own, but she cruises along the furniture and climbs the stairs quicker each day.  She crawls occasionally, but scooting is most certainly her top mode of transportation, with her second favorite being daddy's arms.  The doctor said she is a good communicator as evidenced by this:

Daddy: "Kira go to the chair and stand up"

Kira: scoot, scoot, pick up a Cheerio and eat it (no biggy, the doctor said the floors were clean since it was the first appointment of the day), grab chair, stand, smile

When Kira wants something she points to it and points [slams her pointer finger into her chest] to it repeatedly.  Not only is it insanely adorable, but it is very effective!
