Love at first sip

We had a wild Friday night at Target shopping for a big girl cup for Kira.  She does not like to drink out of any of Max's old sippy cups (neither did he!) so we went on a quest for an alternative.

Of course she loved this cup because it is exactly the same as Max's!

Kira can hardly believe how grown up she is!

The kids have had their holiday pjs for a while, and Max picked out a matching pair for mommy.  Is it too soon to get in the holiday spirit?  Yes.  Do not tell Max!

Getting in the spirit

Bedtime antics

Max brought down two pull ups for bedtime- one for Joe and one for him, because Joe is sleeping over.

Kira had three helpings of dinner...

Bath-hawks

Double baths have their perks!

Mr. Clean was in full effect this evening.  "What should I clean?!?" he asked at the top of his lungs as he searched for a dry piece of furniture (or carpet) to spray (with water).

"This!" is definitely Kira's second word.  We think.

Visit with Dr. Redett

Kira's babysitter asked what kind of sippy cup she uses...

Post-game hand shake line

Max went to see Dr. Redett who said that Max might have the biggest tonsils he has ever seen! "Because I ate all my chicken in the car!" Max said with pride.

Doctors appointments, long drives to Baltimore, and traffic are exhausting, but is Max asleep?  Yes! But he does not want to miss a thing, even in his sleep.

Snakes, and turtles, and xylophones, oh my!

Good morning, Sunshine!

Four years of friendship!

Four years of silliness!

Happy Birthday [party], Sadie!

Max loved celebrating Sadie's 4th birthday at the nature center.  It was the perfect combination of music, animals, and cupcakes in the fresh outdoors.

"TWO LAKES!!!" (One on each side)

Max got to hold a turtle...

...and the birthday girl held a snake!!!

"I have a big bandaid because I'm bleed from crashing into the case," Max explained about the roll of tape he wrapped around his hand.  His obsession with all things Hoosiers continues.

It's a bird, it's a plane, it's a...

paper airplane.

Max has been asking to go on an airplane all week.  He settled on a making a paper airplane, but was upset (understatement) that it did not go UP in the sky.

Kira had a blast at Hattie's first birthday party!

Max, the eldest child at the celebration, enjoyed the festivities from afar on his wooden horse/throne.  He had a great time screaming, dribbling, and running around while the babies responsibly participated in the organized party fun portion of the night.

Making a break for Friday

Tonight was Friday night movie night and while scrolling through the Disney Channel choices, Max selected Linsanity, a basketball documentary.  It was a hilariously appropriate choice from a pretty hilarious kid.

Kira is having a rough first week of basketball...

...but it is nothing a dance party, followed by a 6:20pm bedtime, cannot cure.

For the love of basketball and movies

Max has been reenacting Hoosiers all week long.  Friday movie night is coming up again, and it will likely be a rerun.

It's for you, Kira!

Why so sad, brother?  Here is a basketball to cheer you up.

Max was so silly tonight!  "I want my eyes to touch your eyes!" he said as he clobbered his mom.
