Thumbs up

Waiting for Max

Fake it until you make it- standing addition.

Someone had a great day at school!  Either that or he played a load of Heads Up Seven Up.

We made the best play dough ever; green for Max and pink for Kira, according to Max.

Max was so involved in making play dough pizza that he would not eat dinner.

He just ate pizza.

All of the sudden Max went missing.  He had gone upstairs and drew himself a bath.  Kira was allowed in, but she had a little accident.  "I don't want a yucky bath!"  Max exclaimed, which is both understandable and ironic, considering he has peed in the bath with Kira on multiple occasions (but probably all occasions).

Sorry, Max!

Brother-sister snack

"Kia! Hello hello HELLO!!!"
Max loves Kira and she absolutely loves him and cracks up at 95% of everything he does.  The other 5% is comprised of shock from his insanity and crying from his bops and bow stealing.

What is my brother up to now?  A snack time light show, of course!

Saved the best for last

Today is the "unofficial" end of summer and we ended it in the most summery way possible- with a trip to the beach!  Who knew that there was a beach located an hour away from our door?  Not us!  After a quick, traffic-less (on a holiday weekend!!) drive, we arrived in North Beach, Maryland.  We set up camp just feet from the water and Max swam like a shark for three hours!  Kira ate sand for three hours!  There were no meltdowns for three hours! It was the best summer day!

Get me in the water now!

Beach babies

Tastey!

Two second snack break with Max's best beach buddy, Carter.  Kira's personal pool was the perfect shelter from the sand.

Look who is swimming!

Those teeth!

Loves it!

Happy Birthdays

Two birthday parties in one day means a lot of fun celebrating with old friends.  It also includes a full day of eating exclusively pizza and cupcakes.

Max wolfed down several slices of pizza pie, while Kira gobbled down the crusts.  Timmy's birthday party was a great way to say goodbye to the pool for the summer.

"Mommy, I'm hugging Kira take a picture!"  (Never mind my glow-in-the-day eyeballs!)

Max was bubble-less (no floaty) for his last pool day of the summer.  We told him the pool was closing and he was very understanding.  That is until the next time he wants to go to the pool...

Kira has a snotty cold but that does not stop her from smiling, sleeping and eating [so much chicken!].

Mirror, mirror in the store, who is the cutest baby in the Bjorn?

Max had a great time at Carson's 5th birthday; the fun continued at home with this cool party favor that we fashioned as glasses.

Somewhere over the rainbow

Max slept until 8am!!  He showed daddy how to make a rainbow while Kira happily observed and semi-safely chewed on some larger pieces.

While Kira napped Max and mommy went on a bagel date and...

...a shopping date
"This is my FAVORITE STORE!!!" Max proclaimed in the parking lot of TJ Maxx.  He loves the escalator and trying on glasses.  "I'm daddy!!" he said about this pair.

We went shopping for a can opener, but left with a fireman.

His sucker of a mother obliged his early Halloween wish and when he begged to take the show on the road, she agreed to that, too.

Max really wanted to go see firemen.  We brought them pizza and Max did not even want a piece.  The men were so welcoming and gave Max a tour of the firehouse and truck.

Kira could not keep her hands off her new friend, Liam.

Morning cheer

Another happy morning for little sister in her big brothers sleep sack.

It is safe to say that Max has a pretty good time at his new school.  The summer in September continues...

Max is officially the only person in our house that will ever tan.

Waffle House

Look who got a seat at the big (...little) table!  Max ran to the kitchen and made a waffle after school.  He got it out of the freezer, dragged over a chair, and toasted it all by himself.  He did, however, require assistance with the most important part- "the sauce" (syrup).  Kira liked her waffle, too!

Who's afraid of the big, bad Max? Not Kira!  She loves when Max plays, Three Little Pigs.

"I'm Adam!  Sadie's daddy!" Max said of his spikey do.

Speaking of spikey hair....
Kira's great big smile lasted all day at school.  Her favorite toy at Miss Miranda's is a Mickey Mouse doll and all of the kids now know that if Kira gets upset- give her the doll!
