Bagel bellies

Kira loved her first bagel! It kept her busy for a long time!

Max sat with Pa at the bagel store. He said, "Boys over here and girls over there!" as he pointed and chuckled at Grandma, Kira, and mommy across the table.

Off to our favorite place. We are so lucky that there is a pool that we can walk to in our neighborhood.

After the pool the water play continued on Lake Anne in paddle boats. Max was so happy that his feet touched the pedals ...if he scooted down a lot. He peddled for a whole five seconds and then he promptly...

Passed out!

We paddled by a group of people that laughed and tried to wake up the sleeping seaman at sea, but he just opened his eyes for a second and went back to sleep.

Please- do not sit still or take a rest from playing.

These dinner giggles were the sweetest! It almost made it okay that Max spent half the meal crawling under the table and popping up by Kira's seat to surprise her.

The best days start with the best nights

Today was the greatest day!

It started off at the perfectly Godly hour of 7:00am.

Not only did Max go to sleep last night without waging war, but this morning he slept until 8:07am!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He came downstairs with a big smile and gave mommy a big hug. He got quite a hug (and accolades, upon thank-you's, upon accolades) in return!

This sweet girl played in her crib until 7am and could not believe that Max was no where to be found. Or heard.

Everyone was in such a cheerful mood this morning! Max set up a breakfast picnic in the kitchen.

Kira loves to eat

Since Max slept so well last night, it was a good day for him to skip his nap. He was such a sweet boy; he helped mommy put away laundry, made popcorn and watched Sesame Street. We also played in the pool.

Kira joined the pool party when she woke up from her nap.

We took a relaxing stroll around the neighborhood...

Which relaxed someone right into a nap...

Max and Kira were on their best behavior at dinner. Max wanted Kira to throw puffs in his mouth, but that was just before we left for...

Ice cream!! The perfect way to end a perfect day!

While Max was watching the Yankees with daddy, Kira took a bath. Max came up to tell us about A-Rod's home run. Of course he had to pitch in and help wash Kira, too.

Hide and go...

Play!

Max asked to go to Hannah's house all morning, so luckily he snagged an invite after camp and we headed over. Ben, Hannah, and Max had a blast running around and playing tag and hide and seek.

While the big kids were running wild, these two babes chilled out. It is hard to believe this time last year they were both in their mommies' tummies.

Max let mommy do half of her exercise video this morning, which would be great, except for that it was the "Ten Minute Trainer".

We never got around to these sparklers on July 4th, but of course Max got hold of them (and nearly matches as well) so we lit one up for fun early this morning. Emphasis on early, because Max went to bed at 10pm last night, so naturally he was up at 6am.
