School's out for SUMMER!

Our last walk to drop off Max at school

Miss Miranda takes care of the kids and their nails!

Max' first and last day of school.  Not much has changed besides two pairs of sneakers and lack of a recent hair cut.

Kira was all smiles in the deli line until...

She had her first bite of meat.  No turkey for this chicky born so close to Turkey Day?

We celebrated the end of school at the splash pad.  Last summer, Kira was there in mommy's tummy and now she loves the shooting water as much as Max!

Kira kept wanting to go closer to the water.  She loved having her face splashed, which works out well since Max loves everyone's face to get splashed.

Max kicked some extra water on his little sister

It was so sunny so we made Kira take some breaks in the shade but she kept wanting more.

This silly goose was so hungry he could hardly wait for his dinner to come.

They wake up super early, but our early walks to school are the best.

Max loves to see Miss Miranda every morning

Kira loves the Bjorn.  Everywhere we go people say she is the happiest baby.  They are right!

Max played with Sadie and Tessa after school.  It rained and hailed all the way there, but Max brought along a bag of cough drops (there were only three left) to hold him over.  He asked for cough drops immediately after school, "I'm sick and I need them, see! I have a boo boo." he explained as he pointed to a faded bruise on his leg.  "I am going to eat all of these cough drops and then when I am done I am going to be all better."

Max is already into summer camp mode and has been wearing his swimsuit around the house.  Unfortunately it was raining after school today, so instead of swimming, Max did some climbing,

This 30 minute bath brought to you by mommy's attempt to keep Kira's eyes open past 6:00pm.  She is exhausted from her two abbreviated naps (that were two hours each).

She made it all the way to 7pm.

Max is all set for the first summer league game.  Basketball and gym bag- check and check.

Max creep-climbed his way into Kira's crib at 6am.  Unfortunately/fortunately she was already awake.  Who did these kids inherit their internal clocks from?

Max was dressed for the day, which was easy since he slept in that polo shirt, once he finally agreed to go to sleep at 9:30pm last night.

Double the fun

Double baths are the best!  Kira and Max love it so much, and for now it is novel enough to lure Max upstairs for bath time  without the jaws of life.  If only we had something as exciting to keep him in bed.

Kira reached for this toy from far away.  Max sensed mommy's pride and suggested we give her a sticker.

Last week of school

Max is trying to set the world record for wearing the same outfit everyday.  Not to worry, it is not too dirty because he only wears it for part of the day.  He changes several times, including throughout the night.  In fact he is currently awake and changing his pajamas.  Again.

Walked in and found this monkey on the counter hunting for Tic Tacs.  

This is Max's last week at Miss Miranda's  and our last week of walks to school.  Max always has to hop off and help push the stroller up the big hill.  "You have to use muscles," he instructs.
