Bunny loving

Max played hookie and spent the day with Grandma and Kira.  We went to visit the Easter bunny and Max spent a large portion of the day making a case for toddler military bording school.

After waking up at 3:30am and sleeping with/kicking mommy and staying awake until 5:30am, Max reverted to full baby mode and ate Kira's baby food for breakfast.

All ready to meet the Easter bunny!

Where's the bunny??

Max's 4th bunny pic and Kira's 1st.  This is the first time Max did not love/hug the bunny.  He is all about the personal space and Kira is all about the smiles.

After refusing nap, and removing his diaper and peeing on the carpet, Max's shenanigans continued well until and during bedtime.

Max received this bunny hat and booties for his first Easter, but he never tried them out.  Kira makes a happy bunny!

Mommy: Max, can you please grab me a hair tie?
Max: Sure!
Max: Here you go!

Hug it out

When Kira was crying this morning Max said, "I think she's crying for a hug". He was right!

Give peas a chance

Max and Kira slept until 7am!
April Fools!
Only Kira did.

Mommy's audience while installing a light in Kira's room

Max took a 6:45am bike ride.  He LOVES Sadie's bike!  "Want to ride your bike, Max?"
"NO! It's SADIE'S bike!!!"

More peas! Just like her brother

Jumping for joy

These Brooks babies really like the jumperoo!

Uh oh I spit up- outfit change! Pronto! Right after a picture!

Lunch time

Lots of fun for the General after school- shopping at Home Depot where he was extremely excited to see all of the fans that are like his.  Along with one just like mommy's, and one that had the Earth AND a rocketship.  The fan of Neil Armstrong and Max's dreams.  He also ate dinner at Chipotle, which really stepped up their 'kids meal' game with a new divided plate and an orange on the side.  To cap off the fun evening, Max dressed Pawley and put him to sleep in Kira's crib.

It started raining and Max screamed, "I'm getting wet like monkey's daddy!!!!!"  He was referring to the Car Wash episode of Curious George.  His face turned so red, a al his nine month old poop face. Also, Max scooped a gold chain out of mommy's jewelry box and insisted on wearing it.  Why?  Because "his friend Max, the bigger Max, from daddy's gym has one".  Max met 'bigger Max' once, for about 20 minutes, four months ago.

Cruising

Sadie lent Max her balance bike and he loves it!  He rode around like a big boy that can even go number two on the potty!  Because he can! And he does!  Finally!

Sunday sibling time

Max cannot get his hands on his pet Kira fast enough!  "She's so sooooooooft"

Story time

Bagel date

Max loves to feed Kira, which works out well because she loves to eat.  He said the "k" on her bib is for "Kira".

Just imagine how loud Max was screaming.  His excitement is REAL loud.

Kira is 5 months old!

Kira has continued to be a pure angel baby this month.  Now that she rolls over, she spends less time on the playmat and more time happily bouncing in the jumper or hanging out in the Bumbo seat.  She loves to eat, both enormous bottles and baby food.  Just this week she started to eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner.  Kira's transition from swaddle to sleep sack has gone extremely well, and she has consistently slept through the night (and later than Max) for a week.  Her newest "trick" is spitting and smiling about it; she makes spitting adorable.  Truly.

Kira's urge to roll has made taking these pictures a bit more challenging.

Max was SO good during his first time to a bowling alley.  Of course, he did have an incident during one of his turns and required ice, but that is par for the Max course. Everything is a contact sport where he is involved.

Daddy was very strict about bowling rules and keeping score.  He did not count any frames in which Max's ball hit the bumpers, so according to daddy, Max bowled a 5, throughout the course of 1.5 games.  No where to go but up.

Max did a great job waiting his turn and he gave mommy the biggest good luck kisses before her turns. Kira enjoyed herself, too.

"Beat up me!"
"Knuckle me in the belly, daddy!"
