Sunday sleep over

Max and Kira woke up at the exact same time, 6 o'clock, this morning.  Kira chilled and cooed in her bed ("crib!!" as Max would swiftly correct) for a bit, while mommy tried to coax Max into snuggling for a while before beginning the day.  By 8:30am Kira was ready for nap, and Max found, and put on his old sack to match her.  He begged to go in her crib, and against mommy's better judgement she allowed him in.  "I'm tired, go out, I want to sleep with her," he lied.  The boy did not even take a nap at his actual nap time.  Instead, he pooped in his diaper and smeared it on the wall.  In his parents bedroom.  The ultimate slap in the face.

Max was so excited to be in Kira's crib.  It is crazy to think he actually slept in here.  Or that he slept at all.

Kira should be the Bumbo spokesmodel

Shopping with mommy.  You can take this girl anywhere!

Max is ALMOST dressed appropriately, but he was still the only kid on the playground in shorts.

One of two playground stops on this beautiful afternoon

Kira's first time in the swing!  She is definitely too little, but since big brother was swinging, why not?  Of course her head is looking to the side the whole time because she is looking at Max.  And probably because she is too little for the swing.

This swing is silly!

Max desperately wanted to take a bath with Kira.  And than her tub floated away...

Spring is in the Saturday air

We are so happy that it looks like spring might be here to stay!

Max went to the kids club (babysitting!) at mommy's gym today for the first time since he was 3 months old (and sound asleep the whole time).  He did great and even asked to use the potty.  We celebrated with a lunch date.  Max squeezed his milk box all over mommy.  A few times.  That is what she gets for not pouring the milk in his sippy cup.  And taking pictures of the incident.

Dribbling the basketball he painted

Playground selfie for three
Max ran around the playground for two hours while Kira (while strapped to mommy) chased after him.

Max is obsessed with this life size maze.  As he flew around he noticed another boy had the same black sneakers as him (which he was not wearing) and he went up to the boy and said, "those are mine!"

Max had a blast on the tire swing.  Mommy only had about 1.5 million heart attacks as he was flung wildly in the air with two older/larger kids.

Max made the clubhouse disappear and then he said the magic words to make it come back!  He is a Mickey Mouse Clubhouse super fan.

This is the first time Max put his hand out the car window, and obviously the first time in a long time the windows were even down.  He insisted that the "noise" was a motorcycle.  But it was the wind.

Bag of bacon and Cheerios for the car ride to swim class

Good morning!

TGIF

Max told daddy, "Stop watching TV and look at Kira"

But of course Max wanted to watch March Madness, too

Waiting to watch Kira roll over

The smile on Kira's face when she wakes up is almost too good to be true.

New favorite activity

Rocking and rolling

After many mornings of brotherly instruction, Kira rolled over today!  She was very proud of herself!

"I want to hold her!!!"

"Come on Kira!"

"My mom is INSANE and changed me into this outfit because Max wore it the day he first rolled over.  Also daddy said this outfit was girly when Max wore it.  But now not so much." -Kira

Like brother, like sister

If kids got ice cream for being good at night, then Max would not have any.  But since Avery got ice cream after school, Max wanted some, too.  And mommy is a sucker.

Huge fan of dinner!

Sweetest potato

Kira had her first taste of sweet potatoes tonight and it is pretty clear how she felt about it.

Keep it coming!

Dinner for three!

Max was really into trying to fix Timmy's bike. He took the wrench away from Gracie.  "It isn't safe for her!" he screamed as he grabbed it for himself.

Max pushed Timmy up and down the sidewalk (including a pretty big hill) about a dozen times.  You would think he would be cold (since it was 50 degrees) or tired afterwards, but nope.  He was awake until 10pm last night and he is on the same track for tonight.

Unswaddled sleep is still a work in progress.  One that requires a paci fix every 45 minutes, but it is coming along.

Pot of chocolate

What could be better than gold coins?CHOCOLATE gold coins!  These kids had a blast looking for sweet gold in the playground and leprechaun hunting around the neighborhood.

Max was so excited to look for a lucky coin just like Mickey does in one of his go-to episodes.  In fact, after all the coins were found, Max kept asking mommy to hide it so he could look again.

Not quite ready for sushi yet...

Kira slept through the night again!  Two nights in a row of excellent sleep for her...

...and two night in a row of some of the worst sleep for the General.  After finally going to bed at 9pm, he woke up four times before winding up with mommy and daddy at 3:30am.  Max says he is scared of mascots from the ESPN baseball commercial, but sometimes he just wants to talk about or change his shorts.

The outdoors are great!

It was finally warm enough for shorts today!

Timmy and Max ate dinner together.  Again.  Of course.  This came after Max screamed across the playground to Timmy's mommy, "Meghan! Can Timmy eat my meatballs?"

Tickle, tickle

This happy girl made her mommy even happier- she slept through the night for the first time- all the way until 7am!  Too bad her brother was up several times.
