Party animals
Max was so excited to see Timmy and Des today! The boys were out so late at Des's birthday party!

Beach day!
Sky high baseball socks for another hot day
While Max was at camp, the girls went to North Beach! The beach day was really fun, and the tear-free car rides were awesome!
"COME!" she kept trying to get people to come in the water with her. Truth be told she is lucky she did not get stung by a jellyfish!
Mommy goes back to work tomorrow by Kira has one more week of summer break!

Turtle power
Kira is definitely following in Max's dressing up footsteps
Sweet photo sent by Max's teacher, Ms. Beverly. Just this morning Max said he loved Ms. Beverly and he spent the morning playing school and pretending to be her.

Cooking
Kira slept in these clothes (she has no shorts pjs and it is so hot!) and Max's sock-sandal combo is really something.

Footloose and floaty free
Avery came to the pool today and we all had a blast!
Avery showed off her new swimming skills, so Max tried it, too! Not only did Max do a great job swimming but he jumped off the diving board and swam to the wall with no floaty a million times. He was able to tread water and breathe; it would have been a whole lot easier if he did not try to have an entire conversation while swimming. "LOOK AT ME!!" "AVERY!" "I'M SWIMMING!"
It was very exciting and Kira truly enjoyed splashing in the water while cheering him on.
Kira loved Avery so much that she wanted to spend a lot of time in the water with her and Max. It also might have helped that it was a thousand degrees outside and the typically fridgid pool water was finally warm.
"AVERY!" Kira screamed as she supervised her walk up the water slide. Kira went down once (into daddy's arms!) and she did not cry but, "no!", she did not want to do it again.
Max (and Kira now!) loves playing restaurant. His favorite part seems to be using not one, but two pens, to write down orders. Unfortunatly his restaurant is extremely expensive ($20 for a slice of turkey bacon) and they are usually out of most foods. "No, sorry, we don't have that today!" he says 95% of the time.
