Happy Monday!

5 isn't a crowd!  Let's look for more caterpillars! All afternoon!  Max kept finding different size caterpillars and saying that the small ones are babies, the big ones are daddies, and one on the deck looks like Simba (a lion).

Thank goodness for yogurt!

Kira is strictly observing Passover- just matzoh and yogurt for dinner.

Belated Seder

Another early morning snuggle session brought to you by Max and Kira [and Kira's favorite vest].

We hit the playground bright and early today.  Kira does not want to leave Max's side.

Max has been searching high and low for a caterpillar to call his very own and today he found one!  By the end of the day he had 5.  Unfortunately these may be the kind that  turn into moths, not butterflies.  Fortunately, Max does not want them to turn into anything, as he wants them to remain jarred for life in our house.

Hope these two are as good all weekend as they were this afternoon!

This kid is hilarious.  He said he "thinks" he had a dream that daddy was riding a red motorcycle outside the front door of the house, but he is not sure if it was a dream or if it was real.   The poor little fashionista had a tough time deciding what to sleep in tonight.  "I can't find a shirt!  It's taking FOREVER!  It's so hard!!"   He has it pretty rough.

Kira is so happy that she can walk and so are her pants!

Kira is obsessed with the playground.  Whenever we are outside she drags whoever is holding her hand to the playground.

We had a great afternoon- shorts, sandals, and pre- and post- dinner playground time. 

We played restaurant at the playground and Max was an excellent waiter!  He wrote down everything Kira wanted.

Max's class had a caterpillar that turned into a butterfly; they let it go today.

Sunny Sunday

When Kira woke up from her nap this afternoon it felt like summer!  Max had a very poiant conversation with his buddy Amari.

Max: Hey Amari!  Did you get that gray Gatorade from Target?

Amari: (shoulder shrug)

Max: Yeah!  I saw that Gatorade at Target I was gonna get it for my dad.

"Mommy I am so happy I saw the ice cream truck!"

Max has been taking about the Lion King all weekend!  We watched the Disney movie today but he was a bit disappointed that there were not "real people with face paint" in it.  His favorite part is when Scar pushes Mufasa off a cliff.  If you saw Max this weekend he probably told you that and/or asked you to participate in a Mufasa death scene reenactment.  In the cartoon version his favorite part is when Simba transforms from a cub to a lion.  Max went crazy when Simba got "a beard [mane] like his daddy!"  

Kira watched a few minutes of the movie but she wanted to go outside to play

Kira climbed the stairs to the big slide all by herself!  She may not love to walk but she loves to climb!

Kira was so excited to see Max when he woke up at 8am!!!!!!!

Kira slept until nearly 7am and was all smiles, but her little grin (and entire crib!) was plastered with throw up!  The time and cause remain a mystery but Kira was a-ok all day!  Nothing a morning bath can't fix!
