PJ kind of day

The kids stayed in their pajamas most of the day, but in a cruel twist of irony, no one did much sleeping.

The faces of nap refusal

These two are becoming more alike everyday.  From their sense of humor to their insatiable appetites and insanely early internal alarm clocks, they are two of a kind.

Max briefly changed out of his dinosaur pajamas to play Ninja Turtles with daddy

TGIF

Kira giggled the whole time she used her walker tonight.  She is so proud of herself and so are we!

Perfect time to measure Kira's height

Max had a great day at school learning about sea animals

Night cap

Kira keeps getting bigger and Max stays the same!

Kira took a step in the right direction (ha!) tonight, moving from furniture cruising to shopping cart cruising.  The cart is a slightly easier to move than the couch, so Kira walked all over the basement and gave her tush a little break.

Of course Max wanted to get in on the action

Basement gym

Max played ball while Kira played in the locker room.

Snack attack

Max and Kira shared a little snack after school...

Followed by an attack on daddy!

Knock, knock

Who's there?!

Running Max

Max woke up with no voice and feeling sick, but within one hour (circa 6:45am) he was back to himself and begging for Ben to come over.

Max could not wait to get back outside this morning

Getting taking a light stroll around the block

Big girl table!

Max: Ben I'm FOUR!  That's bigger than you, right?
Ben: No, five is bigger!
Max: But you're not as big as your mom, right?

Kira loves watching [playing with] the big kids

Hold on tight!

Kira would rather scoot her wet, muddy tushy than stand up

Donald AND Dasiey! (and yes, there is a diaper on that bambino)

SHORTS!

Max was allowed to wear shorts outside today, so obviously it was the greatest day ever.  Kira has a cold but she still managed to get some standing practice in the warm weather.

New standing record!  She tried not to show how excited she was...

Four year check up

Still trying on hair bows, and still pulling them out

Wake up Max!  This is the funniest part of the day

Excited about his emergency "Cougar" (maroon) sheets

Max finally had his 4 year old check-up today.  He passed with flying colors, so he only has to wait 10 months to be promoted to 5.  (Perk of parental procrastination!) He is 37 pounds and 42 inches; 75th percentile for height and 55th for weight.  He passed his eye test, of course, because he sees EVERYTHING!  His tonsils are large and so is the snot content of his nose.  Some things never change.

The four year old check up is no joke!

Wake up call

The new Max woke up dark and early to wake up the original Max.

Max gets in the sweetest mood sometimes where he just runs around handing Kira all of her favorite toys, especially her favorite iPad game!

Kira loves Max's new motorcycle- she chases it around via scooting.

This loud fella recently embarked on yet another exciting phase of life: 'the I'm scared of invisible bad guys in my room' phase.  Tonight, moments after he had been put to sleep, he spilled milk all over his sheets and needed new bedding.  He could not go back to bed because, "My eyes are feeling scared."  He did not specify if he was talking about imaginary bad guys or real mommy.

Girls and boys

Max figured out the difference between boys and girls, "Boys are cool and girls are beautiful."

Here is Max's cool face

...and Kira's beautiful face...

...and a mommy face

Max begged Kira to tickle his feet

Impromptu wardrobe change on the way downstairs; it was just to important to wait.
