Thankful

Today we are thanksful for well-timed, accidental double naps and the car wash toy from Uncle that occupied Max long enough for the whole family enjoy [in a mostly leisurely manner] their Thanksgiving steak.

Thankful they have each other

Imitation is the greatest form of flattery

Max spent a large chunk of the day playing tackle football with uncle and daddy, emphasis on tackle.

Kira ate apple pie by the fistful while Max put on his fireman gear and took a pumpkin pie to the firehouse.

Post-dessert story time with Sadie Jean

The weather was so mild today that we ate dinner outside, but this water/bathing suit situation was a bit extreme.

Baker's man

Max made delicious apple pie roll ups in preparation for Thanksgiving.  He must have thought Thanksgiving was today, because they are all gone.

Dinner date surprise

Look who we ran into at Chick fil a!

It really was a surprise!

Give Kira ALL the ice cream!!

She may not walk, but she sure can make her way across a room!

Santa is in the Thanksgiving spirit

Max loves to write, especially with felt tip pens!

Sunday sleepover

Spider Max and his elfettes are gearing up for the holidays!  Next up, a picture on  Santa's lap.  Kira can hardly wait...

Play doh grapes and cookie letters play date

Kira has no interest in walking and clearly her mom is an enabler

Post-apocalypse accidental nap

Max was quite excited to go to the 'sleep over room' (sleep study)

Max loved the accommodations...

...as well as the close proximity of mommy's accommodations

But the excitement dwindled once the wire attaching began...

Max said there were too much, and he was right.  The head wrap was an interesting touch, but by some miracle, he fell asleep seconds after the preparations were completed.  Perhaps they pump melatonin through the air here at the pediatric sleep center.

Day at the museum

Snowboarding/skateboarding is quite the core workout

Kira loved the soccer field.  So did Max, until it shut down and the world ended.

Love at first sip

We had a wild Friday night at Target shopping for a big girl cup for Kira.  She does not like to drink out of any of Max's old sippy cups (neither did he!) so we went on a quest for an alternative.

Of course she loved this cup because it is exactly the same as Max's!

Kira can hardly believe how grown up she is!

The kids have had their holiday pjs for a while, and Max picked out a matching pair for mommy.  Is it too soon to get in the holiday spirit?  Yes.  Do not tell Max!

Getting in the spirit

Bedtime antics

Max brought down two pull ups for bedtime- one for Joe and one for him, because Joe is sleeping over.

Getting in the holiday spirit

Getting in the goofy spirit

Kira had three helpings of dinner...

...while Max toiled with lights in the basement.

Bath-hawks

Double baths have their perks!

Mr. Clean was in full effect this evening.  "What should I clean?!?" he asked at the top of his lungs as he searched for a dry piece of furniture (or carpet) to spray (with water).

"This!" is definitely Kira's second word.  We think.
