Drum line

Max spent the afternoon watching a marching band competition at daddy's school.  Luckily he had his own drum at home so he was able to reenact the drum line on the way to the Multicultural Festival.

Kira loves Tessa!

Kira cannot wait for daddy and Max to come home

Kira was thrilled to see Max but what is on his face?  He wore goggles to school! CRAZY cakes.

Caps for two

"Now we're twins!" Max exclaimed after carefully selecting baseball caps for Kira and him.

Max was in an especially loving mood this evening.  "I love Kira, mommy, daddy, Sadie, and Tessa!"  He repeated this all night, gradually adding additional family members and friends, but always keeping the same order.  He concluded the love fest by declaring, "Me and Avery are twins because I love Avery and she loves me."  Max sure loves his friends!

Max loves grapes a bunch, too.  By the bunch.  Pun intended.

Apparently grapes can only be eaten in very little to no clothing.  At least the boxers are an improvement on eating the bunch in the bath a few days ago.

What is going on back there?!?!

Kira drank a few sips of water and a few sips of milk from her new cup

Max played a basketball game tonight with Joe.  Unfortuently Joe was not actually here; he is a semi-imaginary friend/teammate.  He does actually exist, he is a boy on David's team, but he was not actually at our house playing with Max.  "Cheer for Max and Joe!" Max demanded.  "Louder! Louder! Cheer while I am dribbling! Louder!"

Kira clapped and banged with genuine enthusiasm for Max and Joe.  She also played a creative version of basketball in which she dunked trains in the hoop.

Bumper car

Kira giggled and giggled and giggled some more each time Max crashed his car into her's.  Pretty soon she will be crashing right back (but not too soon because she is going to be a bambino forever).

Kira driving her big brother!

First day of fall at the farm

We reminded Max that Kira's birthday is in October and that she is going to be one.

"How old is she now?" he asked, "zero?"

Yes, sort of.

"So she is going to be one....than two, than three, than four, than five?!  That's amazing!!!"

He is so funny and she is just down right delicious.

Kira! You are the best baby girl!!!!! (so says your mom)

Happy face

It is not easy to say goodbye to this happy face in the morning, but Kira's smile is the best way to start the day.

Still squeezing this baby girl into her 3 month jacket.  Does the jacket run big or is her mommy trying to keep her small?  Yes.

So happy to be home!

"Moon!"

Max was in a great mood this evening, but by bedtime he became an out-of-control giggle monster, emphasis on monster.  "I pooped in the bath!" he screamed while in the bath...eating grapes.  "Oh, no I just farted.  Haha!"

"DIARRHEA! Hahahaha!!!!" he chuckle-screamed (is currently screaming at 9pm) on repeat as we tried to go through his bedtime routine.

Kira loves these bristle blocks

Summer Santa

This evening, from the mouth of Max, in his most grown-up voice...

As he squeezed an entire bottle of soap into the bath..."Mommy! Did you know this yellow soap (Johnson & Johnson baby wash) turns into white soap??"

While on FaceTime with Grandma and Pa..."Daddy! Russ (Pa) wants you!"

Trying to convince mommy to play volleyball with the chalkboard as a net..."Come on mommy, try it, it will be fun!"

"She looks like Santa!" Max said about Kira's sunglasses beard.

They sure do love each other

Kira in the [bounce] house

It is no secret that Max loves to bounce, but Kira loves it, too! She was happy to sit, lie, or be held, as long as she was in the bounce house.  Luckily we were the only tenants.

Kira had a great time on the train!  Max and his little sister have a lot of common interests.

This Cherrio necklace was a disappointing replacement for the yesterday's candy version.
