Our day with Jen and Hattie

We had such a fun day in Baltimore with Hattie and Jen.  The aquarium was a big hit and our hike to Fells Point for dinner was quite an adventure.

Sweet friends Hattie and Kira

"That's Kira and that's me!" Max said of the itty bitty jelly fish and it's slightly larger friend.

The Dolphins were impressive performers

Before we left for the aquarium Max wanted to be sure that the sharks could not eat him.  He lifted up his shirt, touched his stomach, and said, "my skin is hard so the sharks can't eat me, right?"  He was correct, the sharks did not eat him.

Max loves sharks and he could not wait to see them up close.  "Hello there!" he screamed, along with other silly shark- themed nonsense.

Shark watching with Hattie

"Max, stop screaming.  I don't think the Sharks can hear you..." -Hattie

Glow of the jellyfish

Max wanted to touch the fish and Kira wanted to touch Max

Just another wild Saturday night at a bar with a bachelorette party at the next table.

A candy necklace- the perfect accessory and dinner all in one.

Look-a-likes

Pajama party in the clubhouse

"Kira has a boy head.  Her hair isn't like yours, mommy," said Max as he pet his sister this morning.

Friday night ride

Kira is apprehensive that Max is behind the wheel.  Smart sister.

Everyone plays with their bubble wand in their own way

Even bubbles can get too close for comfort

Casual Friday: no diaper cover [or diaper change] required

"I'm in a pool!!! I'm so happy!!!!" Max exclaimed with his broccoli laden grin.  He is really into 'make believe' these days which is perfect considering his desire to be doing a crazy activity every second of the day.  Some of his favorites of late include: "make believe we are singing on stage", "make believe I am Doctor Kelley", "make believe I am taking your hair out [with tweezers] because you have too much", and his all time favorite, "make believe I'm a shark and I'm gonna eat you!!!!!!"

The Max on the bus

Max's class had a "field trip" on a school bus today.  He was so excited to use a "big boy seat belt" but he was rather confused/disappointed that the bus did not go anywhere (like to a basketball game).

Kira is all smiles in the morning until the big hand off, but her crying/holding onto mommy's hair for dear life quickly transitions into fun at Miss Miranda's.

Crispy!

If only Kira liked eating...

Or taking a bath.

"Crispy treat!" screamed Max with glee and he returned home in the dark, waving the sugar coated remnants of his new favorite vending machine snack: a rice crispy treat.

They didn't start the fire

No one was harmed in the making of this dessert.  We had fun making smores with the Rodills after Rosh Hashanah dinner.

They do not even like marshmallows.  But the moms do!!!!

Max wore a bathing suit to school today. He was also commando. Desperate times [early morning code red tantrum] calls for desperate measures [wear...or don't wear whatever you want].

This little beauty actually had a rough night- her first in her whole entire ten and a half months of life!  She woke up and wanted daddy to hold her at 2:00am.  She is certainly entitled to one night of pampering considering her stellar sleep record.

So many swings

Double buckets- one of three swing sets for the day

Kira's favorite part of the bucket swings- having Max swinging next to her!

The perfect swings for Max and Kira- a big boy swing and a bucket swing.  Max pointed to the picnic tables across the way and said he wanted to have his birthday party there.  "I want it to be a Christmas party," he said, seemingly aware of his birth dates proximity to Christmas, yet unaware of the day's proximity to winter.  Then again he probably was aware and wants his party dress code to be shorts.

Up to no good...

The ice cream man strikes again.

Kira was wearing the perfect shirt to DEVOUR her pop.

These sweet friends were so precious sharing this swing.  Avery kept lying on Max's shoulder while they snuggled.

"Where's my hand?" asked this goofball
