They didn't start the fire

No one was harmed in the making of this dessert.  We had fun making smores with the Rodills after Rosh Hashanah dinner.

They do not even like marshmallows.  But the moms do!!!!

Max wore a bathing suit to school today. He was also commando. Desperate times [early morning code red tantrum] calls for desperate measures [wear...or don't wear whatever you want].

This little beauty actually had a rough night- her first in her whole entire ten and a half months of life!  She woke up and wanted daddy to hold her at 2:00am.  She is certainly entitled to one night of pampering considering her stellar sleep record.

So many swings

Double buckets- one of three swing sets for the day

Kira's favorite part of the bucket swings- having Max swinging next to her!

The perfect swings for Max and Kira- a big boy swing and a bucket swing.  Max pointed to the picnic tables across the way and said he wanted to have his birthday party there.  "I want it to be a Christmas party," he said, seemingly aware of his birth dates proximity to Christmas, yet unaware of the day's proximity to winter.  Then again he probably was aware and wants his party dress code to be shorts.

Up to no good...

The ice cream man strikes again.

Kira was wearing the perfect shirt to DEVOUR her pop.

These sweet friends were so precious sharing this swing.  Avery kept lying on Max's shoulder while they snuggled.

"Where's my hand?" asked this goofball

One size fits both

Perfect pair of bucket swings for this duo.
Max and mommy picked up Kira at Miss Miranda's and we stopped by the playground for old times.  And new times!

"Get in! We have to go to school!"

This is more Max's speed these days, but it was nice of him to entertain Kira in the bucket swings for a while, too.  She just loves being near him.

Kira has no interest in touching paint,  or this bag filled with paint.

Max was more excited about it, as he is always asking to do "an art project".

Just another wacky morning

Thumbs up

Waiting for Max

Fake it until you make it- standing addition.

Someone had a great day at school!  Either that or he played a load of Heads Up Seven Up.

We made the best play dough ever; green for Max and pink for Kira, according to Max.

Max was so involved in making play dough pizza that he would not eat dinner.

He just ate pizza.

All of the sudden Max went missing.  He had gone upstairs and drew himself a bath.  Kira was allowed in, but she had a little accident.  "I don't want a yucky bath!"  Max exclaimed, which is both understandable and ironic, considering he has peed in the bath with Kira on multiple occasions (but probably all occasions).

Sorry, Max!

Brother-sister snack

"Kia! Hello hello HELLO!!!"
Max loves Kira and she absolutely loves him and cracks up at 95% of everything he does.  The other 5% is comprised of shock from his insanity and crying from his bops and bow stealing.

Max and his pet sister

What is my brother up to now?  A snack time light show, of course!

Saved the best for last

Today is the "unofficial" end of summer and we ended it in the most summery way possible- with a trip to the beach!  Who knew that there was a beach located an hour away from our door?  Not us!  After a quick, traffic-less (on a holiday weekend!!) drive, we arrived in North Beach, Maryland.  We set up camp just feet from the water and Max swam like a shark for three hours!  Kira ate sand for three hours!  There were no meltdowns for three hours! It was the best summer day!

Get me in the water now!

Beach babies

Tastey!

Two second snack break with Max's best beach buddy, Carter.  Kira's personal pool was the perfect shelter from the sand.

Look who is swimming!

Those teeth!

Captain Max

Loves it!
