Private pool(s)

Pools for everyone!

We are all so excited that the power is back on!! It was out for 5 hours this afternoon- but we survived!

Max slapped one of his new, and very favorite bandaids on Kira's 'mark' and said she was all better.  "She doesn't have to go to the doctor now," he confirmed.

ICE CREAM!

"Mommy write my OTHER name". He meant 'Brooks'; he has no idea who 'Ryan' is.

Max got his ears checked at the doctor this morning.  Pawley came along for some much needed moral support.  Last time Max saw the doctor, he was extremely upset when she looked in his ears.  This morning Max said, "My cat can't talk so it won't hurt him."  Luckily it did not hurt Max either!  He was very brave and his ears are all better, too!

Arielle brought Kira and mommy matching pajamas!  It is like Christmas in July!  Max was slightly (extremely) angry (jealous).

Greetings from Florida

Aunt Arielle is here!

Max was so excited that Avery came to the pool.  These two fishes went down the water slide for two hours straight!

While Kira napped, we had homemade ice pops and Max opened LOTS of presents from his aunt.

Max's favorite present from Aunt Arielle were these basketball bandaids.  It is pretty funny considering- A- they are bandaids and B- Max hates bandaids.

Kira loved this chewy necklace

Kira was covered in all sorts of company in her crib this morning.

Bubble machine mania

Max got a bubble machine as a gift for his second birthday.  We opened it for the first time today; it was worth the wait.

It was so hot...

That Max had permission to...

Squirt mommy with the water gun!

We hung out in the pool for over three hours!  That three foot circle of water kept us cool in the heat and we had lots of fun.

Max shared his banana bread with Kira on the car ride home from camp. He was very happy that she enjoyed it.

"Trace me!!!" Max pleaded this morning as he mulled over his outlines from yesterday.

Goooooooood morning!!

Max cut his foot last night on a Hot Wheels car. Unfortunely, this injury broke his 'good behavior bedtime' streak, as he just could not stop talking about his injury, nor could he settle on pajamas that would make his foot feel better.  Around 9pm, he finally settled on boxers, a tshirt, and mostly importantly, socks to protect his foot.  As soon as he woke up this morning, Max went in Kira's room and held his foot up through the bars of her crib so he could give her a proper recap of the entire incident.  Lucky Kira.

I scream, you scream, we all eat ice cream on National Ice Cream Day!

Kira just loved this chair and the teenage boy next to her that she did not even want any ice cream.

"Mommy look how much taller I got.  I'm bigger.  I'm FOUR!!"

Max stole daddy's camp hat and partied like it's 1997.

Back to the pool after Max's lesson.

Yesterday the car, today a nap on the couch.  Now that Max does not take a nap he is so tired...

Max took a swim lesson today before the pool opened.

"TRACE ME!" "AGAIN!"  That and other trite demands were commonplace this morning.

Another early morning brought to you by Eskimo babies in their winter pajamas on this blistering cold day

Cruising

These two woke up bright and early to beat traffic

Max was SO happy that he found a catepiller.  He made him a home, hugged him, and promptly lost him in a crack on the deck.  We told him that the catepiller became a butterfly, but it probably did not since it probably was an inch worm.

We caught some farmers market tunes mere seconds before a storm rolled in.  In those few moments, Max managed to squeeze in a request for a violin.

Playtime while Max accidentally naps in the car for an hour.

Peaches!

Max and Hannah had some lovey laughs at Celia's first birthday party

TGIF!

Thank goodness it's Friday, mostly because it was such a great day!!

Max had chocolate ice cream to celebrate: excellent behavior at a restaurant and over a week of excellent bedtime behavior.  He still likes to wake up quite early, somewhere between 5:45-6:00am, but it is okay as long as the nights are not a war zone.

You were really good at dinner, Kira!  No, no, YOU were really good at dinner!  Even the waitress and surrounding patrons were impressed at our disciplined children.  They ate so much  dinner, too!

Max loves to hold pencils behind his ear, and these golf pencils were perfect for this unique habit.

Kira loves the splash pad!

She had the water all to herself while Max  heavily debated what shirt to put on when he was done playing.

Safari day at summer camp

Max is really obsessed with playing "big bad wolf" so daddy has to keep him safe in his house just in case the wolf shows up.
