Go high, or go home

Max and Kira enjoyed swinging in the cool sunny air.  Kira was nice and warm and Max said he was, too.

Town Center ball

Just when Max thought he had all of the cars that Timmy had...but thanks for sharing your awesome new 4-wheeler!

1, 2, 3...

It is so much easier to sit on the couch

Daddy kisses

Pears!

Four slices of turkey bacon and two viewings of "the rocket ship
Mickey" later...Max would eat a whole package of turkey bacon for breakfast if his mommy made it for him.

Shopping list snack

Who needs the food when you can eat the list?

Max was 1 for 2 this afternoon.
"Look at me I am so good on the monkey bars!"
"Look at Kira, she can sit up!"

Pear share

Mommy: "Max do you want a napkin to wipe the broccoli off your face?"
Max: "Hahahaha I'm all covered in mooooossssss" (quoting a little ditty called, Spaghetti and Meatballs)

If you give a baby a spoon

...they give themself a blueberry face mask.  After all, they are filled with antioxidants.

Self feeding at its finest

Stop trying to make me sit up!

After Kira quit 'sit up school' she tried to scoot/swim

Dinner for four.  Kira is located just out of the frame but devoured her dinner first.  This can be attributed to her insatiable appetite, being strapped down to her high chair, and being spoon fed every bite of her meal.  It could also be because she is pretty perfect all the time.

Max slept until 7:10am!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Best. Morning. Ever.

DC play date

We went to visit mommy's friends Jason and Mara and their kids Raya and Ari who were visiting DC from New York.  Raya gave Max a squishy brain keychain from her daddy's conference.  "What is it?" Max asked.  When he was told it was a brain, like the one in his head, he was deeply confused, scratched his head (as if trying to get inside), and said, "but I don't see it!"

This scale/sesaw ride was lots of fun, but Max and Raya did not weigh enough to make it move by itself

Early morning Neil Diamond jam session
"We're comin to America..."
"Mommy, I'm teaching Kira to sing"
"Kira do you like my shirt?"

Box shorts

Max loves to wear "box shorts" like daddy.  Boxers are not really the ideal undergarment for [newly potty trained] toddlers, but he almost fits into a child's extra small.  Sometimes he insists on wearing boxers to school; he is only allowed to wear them if he wears his tighty Tommys underneath.  Miss Miranda said she was laughing so hard when she saw what Max was wearing.  He told her they were his daddy's boxers.  Max is really into matching more than just boxers.  Yesterday he made uncle change into his Yankees shirt so they could match.  During a FaceTime call.

"I want to wear box shorts and a baseball shirt like daddy" for bedtime. He wants to stay up as late as daddy tonight, too.

Jumping for warm weather joy!

Good morning kisses

Beauty school

"It's meat time! Yeah!"  Someone was excited for dinner.  Max is obsessed with daddy cooking "barbecue beef", which is what he calls everything that comes off the grill.

Kira does not call her food anything, but she shakes her legs and sticks out her tongue whenever her bowl of mushy fruits and veggies is ready.

Triathlon

Max went to swim lessons and his blastball game in the morning and then played mini golf in the afternoon. He was very tired at night, but not very sleepy.

A little batting and a lot under age.

Really fantastic pre-game pic

Max had a great blastball game and played all three innings.  Three innings may seem short but it is the perfect amount for three year olds.  Max graciously stopped to give mommy a hug  each time he ran to third base.

TGISpring!

Max's pants have been obsolete for some time now, but now the whole family is now fully embracing the warmth of spring!  "I want Daddy to barbecue," Max kindly requested after school.  Done.

Max and Kira both cleaned their plate/bowl tonight.  Max had two helpings of buffalo grilled chicken; it was really hot! And he really liked it!

Happy Maxey!

Happy (and always hungry!) Kira!

"Kira look at this ball I got for you"

Two grocery stores later and Max finally found the exact size and color balls he wanted.

The regression is real.  Before downing this baby food, Max asked for the pack and play on display so he could be like Kira.
