Kira is 5 months old!
Kira has continued to be a pure angel baby this month. Now that she rolls over, she spends less time on the playmat and more time happily bouncing in the jumper or hanging out in the Bumbo seat. She loves to eat, both enormous bottles and baby food. Just this week she started to eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Kira's transition from swaddle to sleep sack has gone extremely well, and she has consistently slept through the night (and later than Max) for a week. Her newest "trick" is spitting and smiling about it; she makes spitting adorable. Truly.

Max was SO good during his first time to a bowling alley. Of course, he did have an incident during one of his turns and required ice, but that is par for the Max course. Everything is a contact sport where he is involved.
Daddy was very strict about bowling rules and keeping score. He did not count any frames in which Max's ball hit the bumpers, so according to daddy, Max bowled a 5, throughout the course of 1.5 games. No where to go but up.
Max did a great job waiting his turn and he gave mommy the biggest good luck kisses before her turns. Kira enjoyed herself, too.

...and it's cold again
Yesterday we were in flip flops and shorts and today it is back to coats and [hysterical crying and screaming over wearing] pants.
Wow, mom, now that you cleaned your camera lense these zillions of pictures are much more clear.
Watching with anticipation as mommy whips up her next infant delicacy- apples and banana. It was a hit! Kira slurped spoonfuls for lunch and dinner.
Just a little summer fashion show to pass the time on this cold and rainy afternoon.
Bundled back up for the playground. This is Kira's expression every time she sits here to watch mommy put on the baby carrier- she gets so excited!

Max always wants to be a part of Kira's bedtime routine. But wants no part in his own.

Hooray for shorts weather
The sun was shining bright this afternoon so we raced (very cautiously drove) home and changed Kira into a summer frock before she outgrows it, which will likely be before summer. Max came home and put on shorts, just like he does everyday.
"Look she's holding my hand," said Kira's loving brother. Both kids slept through the night (which is AMAZING) but of course Max woke up a couple of hours before Kira. At 5am he said the wolf was going to blow down our house. Good thing it is made of bricks.
Max said these carrots were, "so yummy!". Mommy thought, "yes!!!!"

Spring is in her hair...
...but not in today's air. It was about 40 degrees at the playground this evening and Max kept his sweatshirt on for a full 40 seconds, too.

Kira's messiest meal yet! She very literally tried to stuff her face. Every time the spoon went in her mouth she immediately jammed her fist in to push the food down. Pretty sure she is not allergic to sweet potatoes, time for a new food tomorrow!

Double the bubble fun
After the dinner, came the double bath. Timmy asked if was going to sleep here, too. The real question is- 'Is Max going to SLEEP here?'
