First snow of 2015

"Would you look at this!?" Max exclaimed when he saw the snow this morning.  It is amazing how he memorizes and repeats every phrase he hears.

Max listed all of his items on the deck that were covered in snow.  "My table, my bicycle (thank goodness not his new one)..."

"I need a shovel!"  Fortunately Grandma and Pa left one in the basement for Max.  He put it to excellent use this morning, shoveling exactly one square foot of snow before saying his hands were cold and it was too hard.

The playmat was dry and ready for Kira when she finally got home from dropping off Max at school.  The two mile snow-ridden trek took nearly an hour; Kira was extremely patient (aka: sleeping) the whole time.

Snow days are hilarious!

Snow angel-esque antics after school.  In the car ride home Max said, "I want to go ice skating...NOW, because it's icing outside".

Tasty

Max demanded a snow man, but the powdery snow only gave way for 'Flat Frosty'

Wiped out and hungry after playing in the snow.  May Max always ask for bananas as a snack.

While it was freezing outside, Kira and mommy stayed indoors and looked at the beautiful pictures that Meghan took on Sunday.

Two month toes

Meghan took photos of Kira yesterday.  Here is a sneak peak of the cutest little toes on the prettiest little baby girl

Monday never looked so bright, especially on such a freezing cold day.

Playmat cam

You are never too old for the playmat.  Wait, yes you most certainly are; get out of there, Max!

Hanging out in big brother's room this morning

Max said Kira had to go on Miss Piggy because she is a girl.

Max also had to cover The Count (with his tushy) because he doesn't like him.  Today.  Again.  Who knows why?

Max plays the 'Pom Pom game' inspired by an experiment he saw on Curious George.  No one is more active BECAUSE of television than Max.  Between dancing and singing during The Wiggles, to reinacting games he sees on Sesame Street and Curious George, Max may like his shows, but he is far from a couch potato.  Although no one would complain if he did a little potato-ing early in the morning.

While Max was at swim lessons, Kira got the playmat all to her self.  Speaking of all by one's self, Max had his first swim lesson in the 3's class- sans parents.  He was so excited that he 'got bigger' and could stand in the pool by himself.  Which he could do since the water is only a few feet deep.

Ceci gave Max the thumbs up for his third nap in a row.

Sibling story time: Drummer Hoff

Everyone's favorite book- Drummer Hoff

The last thing these two boys need is coffee!  Cheers to plain milked-down chocolate milk.

Not cold mom, these socks are keeping my legs very warm

Happy after nappy!

Power naps

Max woke up all smiles from his first nap at home in months!

Kira napped for almost five hours after her two month shots!  She weighs 10 pounds 2 ounces- nearly double the weight she dropped to at her two day old weight check.

This morning Max told mommy to put Kira in his bed, cover her, turn out the light, and shut the door.

"Kira needs her Yankee blankey!"

Breakfast of champions (and friends)

New Years Day breakfast courtesy of Faith.  Max said he likes "Ben's mommy", Faith.  "Oh, like 'faithful'?" Max asked, because he somehow knows the words to, Come Oh Ye Faithful.  Although Max wound up bunking with mommy instead of Ben, he was still super excited to wake up at his friends' house and immediately begin a rousing game of hide-n-seek/tag.  Ben and Max were giddy chasing each other around, and Ben did not seem to mind that Max cheated on the counting, "1,2,3...10!!!!"

Happy New Year from Kira and her new dolly

Board game for one

Dressed in two shirts, pants, and shorts,  Max looked at mommy and said, "I look like you!"  Mommy must be starting off 2015 looking mighty fine.

Goodnight, 2014!

Of the 5 kids pictured below, Max was the last to go to bed at 11pm. Almost made it to midnight!

Hannah, Ben, Celia, Kira, Max

Max could hardly wait to sleep over at Ben's house.  When we arrived at 6:30pm Max wanted to skip dinner and go straight to bed.  Fast forward several pigs in a blanket, ice pops, group shower, and way too much jumping on the bed, and Max was the last child awake- making it until 11pm.  At 10pm he was eating steak.  It was a long night, but a good time was had by all.

Max was a little weary of passing the Bumbo seat down to Kira.

Tessa, Sadie, Max, and Kira had a fun play date.  Everyone so well behaved and ate lunch!  Max taught his friends the balloon game which was very entertaining and safe!

Max stayed in his bed last night and earned himself......a belt!  "I'm so happy!  I got my belt just like the Wiggles!"

Day at the museum

Morning snuggles

Fireman and firewoman

Max and Avery dancing

The museum was very relaxing for Kira

Max refused to leave the house in pants but really wants high socks like the boys [on daddy's team]. But who actually tries on socks?  Good thing Max did because he said these socks made him mad- they were too tight on his hairy legs.

These white socks were a better fit.  Max sucked down this baby food (after spotting it at the store) while saying he was a big boy with his tall socks.

Max was insanely excited that he could do on the playground at Chick fil A, after all he now meets the age three requirement!  He stopped playing every few minutes to tell mommy, "look at me, I got bigger!"

Big boy bus ride

Max always looks forward to seeing Kira in the morning.  We all do!

Shots up after daddy's game

Max was very well behaved and daddy's team won- so he got to ride the bus home with the big boys.  He sat with the boys for the hour long bus ride and laughed the whole way.
