Max runs on Dunkin

Grandma and Grandpa took Max to Dunkin Donuts this morning.  As soon as the cashier saw Max stroll in, she passed on his regular order- a delicious plain bagel.

Pawley stalker

Max is obsessed with Pawley, and identifies every cat (and small dog) he sees as, "P A W L E Y!!!!!". Lately, Max has been running wild after a neighborhood cat, chasing him through the playground, and ducking under cars just to catch a glimpse of another kitty that he calls Pawley.

Pawley!!!!!

Story time

Max woke up full of energy at 6:15am.  After he changed everyone's diapers, he read them stories.

Not funny

It may be April Fool's Day, but Max was not joking around at school when he hit his teacher.  His behavior improved after his sentence in time-out and a stern talking to, but his temper is becoming an issue.  Is there a boot camp for toddlers?

Is Max feeling bad about his behavior?

Max likes to watch mommy go down the slide.

Try to catch me, daddy!

Jumping for joy

...and sunshine!
Yesterday we spent the day frozen inside, watching snow and hail fall.  Just 24 hours later, Max was quite excited to run around in the sun, sans gloves, winter coat, and hat.  Hopefully Spring will stick around this time!

Romantic carriage ride

Suited up for game day!

Max took off his diaper and gave it to Pawley.  Neither of the boys are potty trained.

Bathing pool

Max likes to pretend that the bath is a pool; he practices swimming by kicking his legs and dunking his face under water.

"Kick, kick, kick.  Look I'm swimming!"

Silly sick day

Max was home sick today, but you would never know from his energy, appetite, and giggles.  He was even happy at the doctor's office and immediately came home to replicate his exam on Pawley.  Dr. Max also discovered the best medicine is being naked!  He stripped down to bear bones for basketball, cooking, and painting.

Old toy, new fun

Max still has fun playing with the first toy we ever bought him.  We got this piano toy before he was even born, but over two years later, he likes it even more.

Max likes to play hide and go seek, but instead of closing his eyes and counting to ten, he covers his face and does laps around the house.

Frost bite on the playground

It was absolutely freezing outside, but Max insisted on going to the playground. Mittens crossed that it does not snow again tomorrow!

These two are bananas for each other

The rounded edge tastes better

Everybody!

Max loves "everybody" on Sesame Street; he races through his Elmo game just to get a peak at the whole gang all together.

Another reason Max loves the Elmo game- the moon makes an appearance, too.

Gator babies

Max and his fellow Gator fans, Jake and Kate, went to see a show at the Puppet Company.  A good time (and great behavior!) was had by all, everyone was home in time to see the Gators win!

These kids have orange and blue blood!

Bye, bye bear

Catch, daddy!

Max woke up at 6:40am so in an attempt to get some more sleep we brought him into our bed.  Usually that only wakes him up more, but this morning it bought us two more hours of sleep!

Side by side

Max kept one side of the double stroller warm for Sadie's soon-to-be-arriving baby sister.

It looks like Spring!

...but it does not feel like it.

After changing Pawley's diaper a few times this morning, Max decided his furry pal was ready to be potty trained, so he dumped him right in the bowl

Colors!

Max worked on learning colors today and showed off his knowledge after school by naming the colors of crayons and fruit snacks.

Potty hijack

Max kicked his daddy off the toilet so that he could go pee pee [all over the floor].  Boys!

Singing and skating!

Max on wheels

Despite lack of rest, Max did a great job on his new skates today.  He initially thought they were ice skates, and since our attempt on the ice rink went as well as nap today, his excitement was surprising.  Once his feet were locked and loaded and his knee pads firmly secured, he collapsed like jello on the wood floor. And he loved it!  Once he was on the foam mat and carpeted basement he did great and rolled around like a pro.

Max is still obsessed with the moon.  Case and point- he was uncharacteristically calm while his nails were being clipped tonight.  He was fixated on his nail clippings, because they look like the moon.

Post-no-nap shenanigans

Instead of napping this afternoon, Max tore pages out of The Little Engine that Could, and emptied his diaper drawer in order to change Pawley's diaper a few dozen times.  Damaging the book was silly because that only shortened his favorite bedtime story.  The diaper fixation is hypocritical because Max hates getting his diaper changed, so why would Pawley want his changed so many times?  He probably wasn't even dirty.
