Frequent rider

Max outdid himself in the rides department today.  Between two trips on the mall train and three rounds on the carousel, followed by three jaunts on the train at the pumpkin patch, he racked up quite a few miles. And quite a hefty bill.  But the smiles and laughs are priceless.

So excited that he is riding by himself!

Ready for school!
Oops- it's Saturday and I don't have any clothes on.

New do

Max started the weekend with a fresh haircut and had fun playing in the summery October night.

Hookie!

Max is home today, but unfortunately he is not really playing hookie. The poor guy was awake all last night throwing up. Six sheets (and no, we do not have six crib sheets), seven sets of pajamas, and several baths later, he finally proclaimed victory over a vicious stomach bug and woke up this morning, refreshed and ready to play. The night was definitely brutal for us all, but spending the day at home with Max mid-week was actually a nice treat.

Sliding into Fall

This weekend we went to the Fall Festival at Cox Farm.  It was the perfect weather and the perfect price for two teachers on teacher discount day.  Things started out a little rough when Max got sick before we even went inside, but after a quick change into emergency clothes, he was jamming with the band and zipping down slides.  He was obsessed with the slide; I still cannot believe he went down by himself.  After a marathon nap, he met up with Sadie and they chased each other around with their poppers and rolled around on the floor like the old days.

Max was not scared, but I was!

Helmet head

Max loves riding his scooter, and the Town Center is the perfect wide-open space for him to practice without those pesky sidewalks and curbs that ruin outdoor playtime for kids everywhere.  He seems to equally enjoy just pulling the scooter along side himself.  I was most proud, however, when he asked for his helmet before he started to ride.
